This historic site is also said to be among the most haunted locations in the city, with separate paranormal tours available. The Old St. Johns County Jail is not only a fascinating stop on any trip, but is also where guests can find the Old Town Trolley depot and a gift shop. This was the original site of St. Augustine’s first jail before Flagler had another one constructed further away from the city. Historic Downtown St. Augustine is home to many unique attractions, shopping, and dining destinations. With stunning historic architecture and unique souvenirs to find, you could spend an entire day walking downtown.

Celebrating 27 years, Nights of Lights begins Saturday, November 14 and continues nightly through January 31, 2021.  Enjoy more than two million tiny white lights sparkling throughout the ancient streets, historic buildings, and local businesses of St. Augustine. The renowned Nights of Lights is a magical memory to every visitor and has been described by National Geographic as one of the "Top 10 Places to See Holiday Lights" in the world! This event is free and open to all.

The St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum is a fascinating look at the evolution of the local shipping trades, as well as a chance to experience some of the best views in the area. The lighthouse can be climbed for a small admission fee, and once guests reach 219 feet up they can experience panoramic views that can’t be beat. The museum is said to be haunted and contains artifacts, replicas, and informative exhibits and displays of the past in a local favorite attraction.

Also known as the Old Jail, this building served as the town’s actual jail from 1891 until 1953. Tours are offered every twenty minutes during the day, as well as during the evening as part of the Ghost and Gravestones tour. In addition to offering some fascinating details about early life in St. Augustine, this site acts as the first stop of the local Old Trolley Tours. Visitors can also access the on-site gift shop without having to take the tour first.

Stroll through the farmers market hosted every Saturday morning under the oaks out front to interact with local vendors and artisans. It is free and open to the public from 8:30 am-12:30 am. It is worth a stop and has something for everyone.
